Job summary

ARROW Security, a leading private security provider, seeks a retired law enforcement officer to guard and monitor a real estate development and investment firm in Times Square, NYC. The role emphasizes maintaining safety for tenants, staff, visitors and property, with duties including incident response and shift documentation.

The position offers a Monday–Friday 3PM–11PM schedule (potentially full-time or part-time with 2–3 shifts).

Qualifications

• Must be a retired law enforcement officer.
• Valid New York State Security Armed Guard License.
• Must possess a valid New York State concealed carry permit.
• Minimum of five years of security guard experience.
• Completion of the NYS-required 16-hour On-the-Job Training (OJT) course.

Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned patrol areas and designated perimeters to maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Observe, document, and report suspicious activity, security concerns, and breaches in accordance with established procedures.
• Evaluate and respond to alerts or incidents in the surrounding area professionally and in accordance with company protocols.
• Notify the Supervisor on Duty when situations require escalation.
• Assist fellow security officers with de-escalation when appropriate and in accordance with company procedures.
• Follow established procedures for fire prevention, property patrol, and incident reporting.
• Maintain a professional and respectful presence while ensuring the safety and security of the building, tenants, visitors, and property.
• Accurately record scheduled shifts using the company scheduling platform, including clock-ins and clock-outs.
• Adhere to all company policies, service expectations, and operating standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
