Join to apply for the Armed Security Guard - Night Shift role at Global Laser Enrichment.

Reporting to the Armed Security Guard Supervisor, the Armed Security Guard is responsible for conducting armed and/or unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrols (interior and/or exterior). Additional duties include controlling access and egress, monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, composing reports, and deterring criminal activity and misconduct.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Monitor for irregular or unusual conditions that could pose security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or contact police/fire departments in emergencies.
• Warn violators of infractions such as loitering, smoking, or carrying prohibited items.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances/exits.
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft and ensure authorized property removal.
• Investigate and document accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors courteously and professionally.
• Make emergency notifications as per site Post Orders.
• Provide suggestions for physical security improvements and post orders.
• Demonstrate initiative, prioritize tasks, and manage deadlines effectively.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a US NRC/DOE Q-clearance or equivalent (DOD Top Secret).
• Ability to attend and pass the NC Armed Private Protection Services Board (PPSB) course if not already completed.
• At least 21 years old.
• Relevant military, law enforcement, or security experience, or related educational background.
• Ability to work various shifts, including weekends and overtime.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and security management technology.
• Excellent communication skills, discretion, and professionalism.
• Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, reach, and operate a vehicle; occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
• Work may involve adverse weather conditions during site visits.
• Ability to work under stress, prioritize, and multitask effectively.
