Job summary

Inter-Con Security Systems, Inc. in Pomona, CA is seeking an Armed Security Guard to join a professional team securing client sites and maintaining safety.

You will be trained in enhanced security procedures and work on a full-time basis with day shifts. Qualified candidates must possess an Exposed Firearms Permit, a guard card, CPR/First-Aid and Blood Borne Pathogens certification, plus a valid driver's license and be 21 or older.

Qualifications

• Armed Officer experience or military law enforcement background with minimum 1 year.
• Graduate of a Law Enforcement academy or four years military service with Honorable Discharge.
• Two years combat arms experience with Honorable Discharge acceptable.
• Must possess Exposed Firearms Permit, guard card, CPR/First-Aid and Blood Borne Pathogens certification.
• Must be 21 years or older and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Secure client sites indoors or outdoors as assigned.
• Stand and walk for extended periods during security duties.
• Be available for night, weekend, holiday shifts and overtime as directed.
• Work across various shifts as assigned.

Job Description

• Minimum Requirements Armed Officer

  Each Armed Security Officer to be assigned to the account must meet or exceed, at least, one of the following criteria:

  (a) Armed Security Officer or military law enforcement or corrections experience - one (1) year minimum.

  (b) Military experience of four (4) years with an Honorable Discharge.

  (c) Military deployment, combat arms experience of two (2) years, with Honorable Discharge.

  (d) Graduate of a Law Enforcement academy

Work Environment and Schedule

• Job operates in client sites which could be indoors or outdoors.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking, in the performance of daily security activities.
• Open availability Nights, Weekends, Holidays and overtime as directed(overtime occurs).
• Work various shifts and Holidays as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must possess current guard card
• Must possess a CPR/First-Aid and Blood Borne Pathogens Certification.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License
• Must be 21 years or older
• Must be willing to meet contract compliance guidelines
• May be required to perform emergency duties which require physical exertion such as: standing or walking for an entire shift, climbing stairs, lifting, carrying up to 50lbs. and running.
