You’ll receive training from qualified firearms instructors in safe weapon handling and marksmanship. Your role involves patrol, guard duties, manning security posts at gated entrances, escorting visitors, and protecting personnel and property at any company facility or work site.

Expected Responsibilities

The primary objective is to protect company personnel, properties, and assets. Duties include patrol of facilities, guarding, manning posts at gated entrances, escorting visitors, and protecting personnel.

Requirements For Armed Services Personnel

• Current and valid Armed Security Guard License through Louisville Metro Government; must have KY or IN CCDW.
• Annual documented training on use of force and qualification with assigned weapon.
• Drug‑free status.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and walk the corporate headquarters interior without assistance.
• Professional appearance with clean, logo‑bearing uniforms.
• Completion of job fundamentals and site‑specific training before assignment.
• Adherence to company SOPs and documentation of all training and reporting.
• Submit shift reports at conclusion of each shift; complete Louisville Water Incident Report if emergency occurs.
• Report promptly to assigned post and remain until relieved by authorized personnel.

Qualifications

• Current guard card license as required by state or local law.
• Pass an 8‑panel drug test prior to placement.
• Pass a background check (Federal Criminal, Social Security Trace, National Criminal Index Plus, statewide, county, and criminal reports).
• Minimum age 21.
• Ability to perform physically demanding duties: standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 50 lbs., and running.

Education And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree highly desirable.
• Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English.
• High integrity and exemplary security skills.
• Full compliance with all required licenses, permits, and certifications for assignment location.
