Officers must demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment, and effective communication with the public. Candidates should have a strong track record of reliability and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Formación

• Must have Virginia DCJS security registration.
• Must successfully complete required background screening.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliability, punctuality and professional conduct.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Remain calm and exercise good judgment in stressful situations.
• Previous security, customer service, or public-facing experience is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain a visible security presence throughout the facility.
• Monitor entrances, exits, waiting areas, and other designated areas.
• Observe and report suspicious activity or security concerns.
• Assist with maintaining order in public waiting areas and customer spaces.
• Conduct routine security patrols and inspections of the facility.
• Respond to disturbances, emergencies, and security incidents.
• Prepare accurate and detailed incident reports.
• Enforce security procedures and visitor access requirements.
• Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and management.
• Contact emergency services or supervisory personnel when necessary.
• Follow all post orders and client-specific procedures.

Position Overview

Sentry Force Security is seeking dependable, professional, and customer-service-oriented Security Officers to provide security services at a state registration office. The ideal candidate will maintain a safe and orderly environment while protecting employees, visitors, and government property.

Officers must demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment, strong observation skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with members of the public.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible security presence throughout the assigned facility.

• Monitor entrances, exits, waiting areas, and other designated areas.

• Observe and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, and security violations.

• Assist with maintaining order in public waiting areas and customer service spaces.

• Conduct routine security patrols and facility inspections.

• Respond appropriately to disturbances, emergencies, and other security-related incidents.

• Prepare accurate and detailed incident reports.

• Enforce facility security procedures and visitor access requirements.

• Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and management.

• Contact emergency services or supervisory personnel when necessary.

• Follow all company policies, post orders, and client-specific procedures.

Physical Requirements

Candidates must be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements include:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the assigned shift.

• Ability to walk throughout the facility and conduct routine patrols.

• Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move as required by assigned duties.

• Ability to navigate stairs and access different areas of the facility when necessary.

• Ability to maintain alertness and situational awareness throughout the shift.

• Ability to respond promptly to emergencies and unexpected situations.

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in person and over the telephone.

• Ability to perform duties in a public-facing environment while maintaining professionalism.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must meet applicable Virginia DCJS registration requirements for the assigned security position.

• Must be able to successfully complete required background screening.

• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Must possess the ability to remain calm and exercise good judgment in stressful situations.

• Previous security, customer service, or public-facing experience is preferred.
