Sentry Force Security is hiring qualified Armed Security Officers, Supervisors, and Armed Floaters in the Richmond, VA area. We are looking for dependable, professional, and experienced security personnel to join our growing team.

Responsibilities include protecting personnel, property, and facilities; patrolling and security checks; monitoring access points and surveillance; responding to incidents; and preparing incident reports.

Qualifications

• Virginia DCJS Armed Security License required
• Must be 18 years or older
• Background and pre-employment screening required
• Reliable transportation
• Excellent communication, observation and report-writing skills
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform patrols
• Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required

• Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies
• Prepare accurate incident and activity reports
• Follow post orders, company policies, and applicable regulations
• Communicate professionally with clients, employees, visitors, and supervisors
• Floaters must be flexible and able to provide coverage at various locations and shifts

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid Virginia DCJS Armed Security License — REQUIRED
• Minimum 18 years of age
• High school diploma/GED preferred
• Previous security, military, law enforcement, corrections, or related experience preferred
• Must successfully complete required background and pre-employment screening
• Reliable transportation
• Professional appearance and strong work ethic
• Excellent communication, observation, and report-writing skills
• Ability to remain alert and professional throughout the shift
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform routine patrols
• Must be available for assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
• Must maintain all required DCJS licensing and training

Supervisor Qualifications

Prior security supervisory or leadership experience is preferred. Supervisors must be able to lead officers, conduct inspections, address performance issues, respond to incidents, enforce post orders, and communicate effectively with management and personnel.

Floater Qualifications

Floaters must be dependable, adaptable, and comfortable working at different locations and shifts. Reliable transportation and the ability to quickly adapt to different post orders are required.
