PalAmerican Security is seeking an armed security guard to protect a designated site. You will maintain security through visible presence, regular patrols, and strict enforcement of rules while delivering courteous customer service.

The role emphasizes safety, incident reporting, and collaboration with staff. Training, ongoing support, and a CARE culture are offered; after joining, progression to Level III security certification may be pursued.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old and hold Level II TOPS certificate before applying.
• High school diploma or equivalent; 1+ year security experience preferred.
• Active Armed Security license; valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the security and safety of the assigned site through regular patrols.
• Enforce rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Respond to emergencies and provide security assistance.
• Provide customer care and directions to the public.
• Monitor CCTV for potential issues.

Job description

Minuim qualififcations for this position: Level II Security Certificate through TOPS prior to applying. Must be over the age of 21 years of age when applying. Willing to earn a Level III Security Certificate once working for PalAmerican. If already a Level III Security License, no additional Security License is needed. Hourly rate $25.00

Job Summary

• Maintain the security and safety of the assigned site through regular patrols
• Actively enforce rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
• Respond to emergency situations and provide security assistance
• Engage with the public to offer assistance and directions
• Monitor closed‑circuit television for potential issues

Duties/Responsibilities

• Maintain a physical presence within the facility as a visible deterrent to illegal activity
• Provide superior customer care to enhance the facility's atmosphere
• Keep accurate logs and write detailed incident reports
• Prevent unauthorized access to the area and items within

Required Skills/Abilities

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Must be 21 years old
• Must have valid armed license where required
• Strong commitment to the well‑being of others

Education and Experience

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing for up to 4 hours
• Foot patrol and ability to lift up to 15 pounds
• Must stay alert at all times
