Job summary

PalAmerican Security is seeking an Armed Security Guard to protect and monitor the assigned site. You will patrol, enforce policies, and respond to incidents while delivering professional customer care.

The position requires an active Armed Security license, a valid driver’s license, and a 21+ age minimum. We offer continuous training and a culture focused on CARE and career growth.

Job description

Needs to be over the age of 21yrs old. Have an active Driver's License. Must be SLED certified. Hourly rate: $20.50. Mon - Fri 10:30am - 5:30pm (40hrs per week).

Job Summary:

• Maintain the security and safety of the assigned site through regular patrols
• Actively enforce rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
• Respond to emergency situations and provide security assistance
• Engage with the public to offer assistance and directions
• Monitor closed-circuit television for potential issues

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintain a physical presence within the facility as a visible deterrent to illegal activity
• Provide superior customer care to enhance the facility's atmosphere
• Keep accurate logs and write detailed incident reports
• Prevent unauthorized access to the area and items within

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Must be 21 years old
• Must have valid armed license where required
• Strong commitment to the well-being of others
• Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in using computer systems and applications

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of related experience
• Active Armed Security license
• Valid Driver's License

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing for up to 4 hours
• Foot patrol and ability to lift up to 15 pounds
• Must stay alert at all times
