Allied Universal is seeking an armed Security Officer (Part Time Driver) in Spruce Pine, NC. You will protect clients across government sites, perform armed patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

This role requires a valid driver’s license and may require an armed guard card. You will join a team that values integrity, reliability, and teamwork as you work a flexible part-time schedule and use our Claim a Shift platform.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Armed guard card or license preferred.
• Must be 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check & drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Industry security training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and authorized individuals at a government location.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verifying authorization and documenting activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and disturbances with calm, professional judgment.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports while maintaining professional communication.
