Mason Security Protective Services LLC in Boca Raton is seeking professional Armed Security Officers to join our growing team across South Florida. We offer full-time and part-time roles, including Floating Officers who may work at multiple client locations to provide coverage and staffing support.

Officers must have Florida Class G and D armed security licenses, a minimum of two years of armed security experience, and be able to travel between locations.

Qualifications

• Strong firearms proficiency and safe weapons handling.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between locations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional security presence at assigned locations.

About the Role

Mason Security Protective Services LLC is seeking professional, disciplined, and dependable Armed Security Officers to join our growing team throughout South Florida.

We are hiring for both full-time and part-time positions, including Floating Security Officers who may be required to travel between multiple assigned locations to provide coverage, assist with staffing needs, support special events, and fill temporary or unexpected staffing vacancies.

Officers must be flexible and available to work at different client locations as operational needs require.

This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment, protecting people and property, monitoring assigned areas, and responding appropriately to security concerns and emergencies.

The ideal candidate is alert, professional, confident, dependable, and capable of exercising sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible and professional security presence at assigned locations.
• Protect clients, personnel, visitors, property, and facilities.
• Monitor entrances, exits, access points, and designated areas.
• Conduct security patrols as directed.
• Monitor activity and identify potential safety or security concerns.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies, alarms, disturbances, and security incidents.
• Apply appropriate de-escalation and conflict-resolution techniques.
• Enforce established access control procedures, site rules, and post orders.
• Maintain accurate daily activity logs and detailed incident reports.
• Communicate security concerns promptly to supervisors and management.
• Coordinate with law enforcement, fire rescue, EMS, and other emergency services when necessary.
• Follow all Mason Security policies, client procedures, post orders, and applicable laws.
• Safely carry and maintain the assigned firearm in accordance with Florida law and company policy.
• Travel between assigned client locations when necessary.
• Provide temporary coverage, fill-in assignments, and additional staffing support.
• Assist with special events, additional security details, and other operational assignments as business needs require.
• Perform other security-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid Florida Class G Armed Security License — Required.
• Valid Florida Class D Security License — Required.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant armed security experience — Required.
• Prior law enforcement or military experience strongly preferred.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Strong firearms proficiency and demonstrated knowledge of safe weapons handling.
• Excellent observation, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and composed under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and respond appropriately to changing situations.
• Must pass required background and drug screenings.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability and willingness to travel between assigned locations when required.
