Job summary

Tier One in Dallas is seeking an Armed School Security Officer to provide a calm, professional presence, protecting students, staff and campus property.

You will monitor access, enforce laws and policies, coordinate drills, and serve as the campus security expert. The role requires 21+ and the ability to obtain a Texas Level III Commissioned license.

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED; college coursework or degree preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Texas Level III Commissioned Security Officer License.
• Ability to legally possess and carry a firearm while performing duties.
• Ability to pass background investigations, drug screening, and licensing requirements.
• Excellent communication, report-writing, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a highly visible, professional security presence for the campus.
• Serve as the primary security professional on your campus.
• Build trusted relationships with students, families, educators, administrators, and local law enforcement.
• Enforce applicable laws, school policies, and security procedures with sound judgment.
• Monitor visitor management, access control, surveillance systems, and campus activity.
• Identify, investigate, and respond to suspicious activity or security concerns.
• Coordinate emergency drills and maintain state compliance.
• Deliver safety and emergency-preparedness presentations.
