Job summary

Premier Security is hiring an Armed Security Officer to provide safety and security on educational sites and other assignments across Oakland County. This role involves monitoring surroundings, responding to emergencies, and collaborating with staff to ensure a secure environment.

The ideal candidate must possess a high school diploma or GED, a valid CPL, and law enforcement experience. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in diverse settings are essential. Full-time and part-time positions are available.

Qualifications

• Must easily sit, stand, bend, or walk for entire shift.
• Must swiftly ascend and descend stairs as needed.
• Excellent visual and auditory acuity required.
• Must lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety at assigned locations.
• Respond effectively to dangerous situations.
• Communicate effectively using assigned radio.
• Conduct patrols and control access to facilities.
• Prepare incident reports as necessary.

Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to manage sensitive situations

Must pass firearms test

Education
