Job summary

Fast Guard Service Career Center seeks an Armed School Safety Officer to respond to emergencies, monitor campus activity, and enforce security procedures. The role requires vigilance, coordination with law enforcement, and the ability to secure doors and operate security systems.

The position is full- or part-time with 8-hour shifts, typically 7:00am–3:00pm, in-person on school property. Prior armed security experience and relevant licenses are preferred to support campus safety.

Qualifications

• Armed security experience is preferred.
• Armed SLED card is preferred.
• Driver's license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a first responder to violent, disruptive, or other emergency incidents on school property.
• Patrol buildings, parking lots, and grounds for suspicious activity and report concerns to authorities.
• Confront trespassers and escort unauthorized visitors off campus in coordination with school administration.
• Monitor student activity and movement inside school buildings.
• Check doors and locks to ensure security and report malfunctions to administration.
• Operate security systems (video, radios) to maximize safety during school hours.
• Assist with traffic control and parking management in coordination with school officials.
