Position Purpose:

• In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors, the Safety & Security Officer provides protective services to all persons and property across the Mount Carmel Health System.

What You Will Do:

• Maintain a safe and secure environment through job knowledge, skills, and engagement. Intervene as appropriate in any observed safety & security issues.
• Enforce all governmental regulations, standards, and policies related to Mount Carmel Health System and Safety & Security policies (e.g., smoking policy).
• Communicate safety and security discrepancies to the appropriate parties for mitigation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Licensure / Certification: Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy certificate of completion required prior to shift assignment as an Armed Safety and Security Officer.
• Experience: Three to five years in security, law enforcement, military disciplines, or equivalent training such as criminal justice, homeland security, or law enforcement academy is preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record maintained.
