Position Purpose:

• In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors, the Safety & Security Officer provides protective services to all persons and property across the Mount Carmel Health System.

What You Will Do:

• Maintain a safe and secure environment through knowledge, skills, and engagement. Intervene as appropriate in safety & security issues observed.
• Enforce all governmental regulations, standards, policies related to Mount Carmel Health System and Safety & Security policies (e.g., smoking policy).
• Communicate safety and security discrepancies to appropriate parties for mitigation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy certificate of completion required before shift assignment as an Armed Safety and Security Officer.
• Three to five years of experience in security, law enforcement, military disciplines, or equivalent training (e.g., criminal justice, homeland security, law enforcement academy) preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
