Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Public Safety Officer I - Armed for Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL. This full-time, evening shift (2pm-10pm) position includes weekends and requires a CHSO certification timeline, FOID/CCW readiness, and a high standard of security and patient safety.

You will patrol, respond to incidents, de-escalate conflicts, and coordinate with local authorities. Compensation ranges from $22.90 to $34.35 per hour with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Security/ Public Safety experience preferred.
• CHSO certification within 2 years of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Provide security services with a customer-service approach.
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols to ensure safety and identify hazards.
• Perform incident investigations and complete reports promptly.
• De-escalate conflicts and coordinate with law enforcement when needed.
• Support emergencies including alarms, evacuations, and crowd control.
