Qualifications

• Basic law enforcement training is required.
• Certification per NC CJET Standards or transfer of certification.

Responsibilities

• Intervenes appropriately when unruly, abusive, combative, or armed individuals are encountered.
• Arrests individuals for criminal activity and completes investigations within assigned jurisdiction.
• Responds to routine and emergency calls for assistance and completes incident reports.
• Coordinates with community police agencies and communicates calmly and factually.
• Provides armed response to imminent threats on Atrium Health property.
• Assists teammates as subject matter expert in criminal process and prepares cases for court.
