PELTA Protective Specialists is seeking an Armed Protective Security Specialist in Cincinnati, OH. The role offers both Part-Time and Full-Time shifts with compensation of $24-$30/hour based on experience, and requires a 20-Hour OPOTC certificate.

CCW permits are not acceptable substitutes for the 20-Hour OPOTC. We emphasize integrity, discretion, and client privacy as we protect assets in a retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher.
• Prior military and/or law enforcement experience required or 8 years customer security experience will be considered as an acceptable substitute.
• Strong situational awareness, customer service orientation, conflict resolution and de-escalation skills, and excellent interpersonal communication.
• OPOTA Certification required.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certifications are preferred, and candidates with EMR/EMT/Paramedic or less-lethal certifications are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Access Control: Monitoring all public access points, ensuring guests feel welcomed.
• Crowd Control & Safety: Monitor venue for hazards, disturbances, or emergencies; use de-escalation techniques.
• Staff Escorting: Provide a secure escort for staff in public areas.
