Job summary

GXC Inc. is seeking Armed Protective Security Officers for the Southern NJ FPS Contract. The role involves protecting people and property, patrolling the facility, monitoring CCTV, and responding to emergencies in a professional, team-oriented environment.

The candidate must meet age and education requirements, possess firearms experience, and hold or be able to obtain NJ Armed Security Guard License and NJ Pistol Permit. Training is provided, and a DHS clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older and have a high school diploma or GED.
• 2 years of armed security experience OR 2 years of military/National Guard service OR completed state-certified law enforcement education and training OR police officers' standard training courses.
• Candidates should have prior firearms experience.
• Active DHS Homeland Security Federal Protective Service Clearance preferred or be able to acquire and maintain a favorable adjudication.
• NJ Armed Security Guard License and NJ Pistol Permit are required.
• Must attend at least two consecutive weeks of training.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality security services to protect people and property at the facility.
• Build and maintain relationships with client employees and guests.
• Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances in writing and verbally.
• Handle security issues and emergencies according to GXC protocol.
• Understand site-specific operations and post orders.
• Greet visitors and employees in a cheerful, welcoming manner.
• Answer questions and assist visitors and employees.
• Remain flexible in a dynamic environment and adapt to different situations.
• Patrol the facility on foot and monitor CCTV systems and alarms.
• Answer phones and assist guests and employees.
