We are accepting applications for Full-time and Part-time Armed Security Officers in Austin, Texas. A Secret Security Clearance is required for this position.

BTI seeks highly professional security guards with a strong commitment to protecting our sites, staff, and clients.

Job Skills / Requirements

• Perform a variety of security duties depending on the post, including patrolling and monitoring exterior and community areas.
• Control access at entrances and exits, and monitor the departure of employees and visitors.
• Monitor surveillance cameras for disruptions or unlawful activities.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Interpret and apply rules, regulations, directives, and procedures per contract.
• Provide detailed reports on daily activities and incidents.
• Operate magnetometers and X-ray machines effectively.
• Use communication devices such as two-way radios clearly and concisely.
• Perform CPR or first aid when needed.
• Maintain credentials per contract requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or project managers.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 2 years of security experience.
• Valid Security Guard Card.
• Strong knowledge of the security industry.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Customer service-oriented mindset.
• Effective communication and presentation skills for all levels of internal and external customers.

Education and Certification

• High School Diploma or GED; at least 2 years of college preferred.
• Texas DPS Security License (Armed).
• CPR/First Aid certification.
