Armed Protective Security Officer - Miami Florida

We are accepting applications for Full-time and Part-time Armed Protective Service Officers (PSO) in South Florida. This is an Essential position. We seek security officers who demonstrate professionalism and a strong commitment to protecting our sites, staff, and clients.

Job Skills / Requirements

• Protect the principal against threats
• Manage federal building access control, ID checks, security equipment monitoring, and patrols
• Monitor surveillance cameras for disruptions or unlawful activities
• Provide detailed reports on daily activities and incidents
• Operate magnetometers and X-ray machines effectively
• Use communication devices like two-way radios clearly and effectively
• Leverage excellent listening and service skills in emergencies
• Perform CPR or first aid when needed
• Maintain credentials as per contract requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old
• Be a U.S. citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident with an honorable discharge from the U.S. Armed Forces
• Have a Social Security Card with your name and SSN
• Minimum 2 years of armed security experience or 1 year in law enforcement
• Honorable discharge from at least 2 years of service in the U.S. Armed Forces
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
• Qualify with a revolver or semi-automatic pistol
• Strong knowledge of the security industry
• Excellent communication skills and customer service mindset

Physical Demands

• Perform tasks requiring physical ability, including walking, standing, and stooping for up to 12 hours
• Handle outdoor conditions and extreme weather
• Remain alert and calm in stressful situations
• Operate security equipment and respond to dispatches
• Subdue or intervene with potentially violent individuals

Education & Certification

High School Diploma/GED required. Certifications include CPR, Weapons Detection, Baton, DHS Letter of Suitability, Weapon Training, Firearms Qualification, among others.
