Job Description

Job Overview: The Armed Protective Security Officer (Level II) is responsible for providing security services as outlined in contract agreements, adhering to client Post Orders, and ensuring the safety and security of assigned areas. This role requires strict adherence to security protocols, especially in emergencies, including guarding designated areas, monitoring activities, and reporting incidents. Familiarity with all post orders and diligent compliance during each shift are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform duties as prescribed by the Post Orders for each assigned post and shift.
• Ensure duties align with Post Orders unless responding to emergencies.
• Remain at the post until properly relieved, as required.
• Familiarize yourself with post orders before duty commencement or during mount time if advance notice is limited.

Duty-Specific Guidelines:

• Access/Egress Control: Monitor entry points, prevent unauthorized access, report violations.
• Security Screening: Screen individuals, packages, and vehicles; report or detain unlawful items.
• Visitor Processing: Assist visitors, be knowledgeable about the facility layout and tenants.
• Patrol and Response: Conduct patrols, respond to alarms, report suspicious activity or emergencies.
• Traffic Control: Direct traffic and monitor for suspicious behavior as needed.
• Building Rules: Enforce facility rules, report or detain violators.
• Emergencies: Respond per Post Orders and report hazardous conditions or incidents requiring professional assistance.

Additional notes include remaining at posts until relieved and maintaining logs, incident reports, and situational awareness.
