Job Skills / Requirements
- Adhere to all company personnel and safety policies and perform all assigned duties safely.
- Perform all tasks in accordance with the duties outlined in Post Orders
- Arrive at work in proper uniform and carry needed, issued equipment.
- Participate in Guard Mount, receive assigned posts, and copy any extra instructions.
- Use provided communication devices, such as a two-way radio, clearly and concisely.
- Provided personal escort services for designated personnel, visitors, etc., when directed by the COR.
- Conduct personnel, vehicle, building & facility checks, packages, and parcel inspections.
- Carry firearm license/permit on person while on duty (Unless local or state law requires the contractor to maintain the records)
- Maintain hourly logs, detailed reports, and files of all incidents and occurrences during the tour of duty.
- Provide detailed reports on daily activities and/or incidents that may have occurred.
- Knowledgeable and able to effectively use magnetometers and X-ray machines.
- Ensure credentials are maintained per contract requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have a customer service-driven mindset.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, if needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Project Manager
- Must have two (2) years of (ARMED)security experience; two (2) years in the military or one (1) year in law enforcement.
- Strong relevant knowledge of the security industry.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Security Guard Card.
- Ability to communicate effectively and present information to all levels of internal and external customers.

Protective Security Officers are responsible for meeting the local and federal requirements to perform duties as armed officers. The primary responsibilities of a
PSO may include but are not limited to first response to emergencies, enforcing, conducting mobile patrols, inspections, and searches, responsible for access control and detecting, delaying, detaining, and or/ apprehending persons attempting to gain unauthorized access to Government property otherwise violating laws, rules, and regulations in accordance with the Post Orders.
PSO must always be vigilant to observe.

Minimum Requirements

Physical Demands
- PSOs shall be physically able to perform tasks in the performance of assigned duties
- Frequent and prolonged walking, standing, sitting, and stooping up to 12 hours per day, either indoors or outdoors
- Frequent contact with the general public, law enforcement, and dispatch center, requiring an ability to speak clearly and distinctly and remain calm in stressful situations
- Ability to remain on post for up to four (4) consecutive hours without sitting, eating, or receiving a break
- Ability to remain alert for up to 12 hours, with the ability to mentally and physically react quickly to a variety of unexpected and dangerous situations
- Ability to subdue violent or potentially violent or disturbed individuals or intervene in a crisis
- Occasional running, sprinting, lifting heavy weights, moving heavy objects, climbing stairs
