Job summary

Garda Security Group is seeking an Armed Premise Guard to monitor the facility and ensure the safety of staff and visitors. The role includes surveillance, entry screening, and basic administrative support on a Monday–Friday 2nd shift (3:30pm – close).

Candidates must be 21+, have at least one year in the security field, and hold the necessary guard and firearms licenses. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• At least 1 year of experience in the Security industry.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must obtain and maintain required guard and gun permits/licenses.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• May perform Driver/Messenger duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Surveillance of the building and monitoring through cameras.
• Greet and direct employees, customers and vendors; log non-site entrants.
• Inspect personal belongings or packages at entry/exit points.
• Assist in administrative duties such as mail handling and phone coverage.
• Cross-train in other operational areas as assigned.
• Cooperate with staff and contribute to team effort.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Armed Premise Guard

Mon - Fri: 2nd shift 3:30pm - close

$20.00 hr

The position of the Premise Guard is responsible for the surveillance of the building and the safety of all personnel. Will assist in administrative duties and support the operation as directed by Superior/Management.

Job Requirements

• Maintains surveillance by monitoring cameras and taking routine walks through the facility.
• Greets and directs employees, customers, and vendors. Ensures all non-site employees are logged prior to entering and exiting the facility.
• Conducts inspection of personal belongings or packages being carried into and out of the facility by all employees, customers, and vendors.
• Assists in administrative duties such as handling incoming and outgoing mail and answering the main telephone line.
• Cross-trains in other operational areas as assigned bySuperior/Management
• Cooperates with other staff members and is an integral part of the team effort.
• Perform additional duties as assigned bySuperior/Management

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

• Position requires incumbent to be 21 years of age or older.
• Must have at least one year of experience in the Security industry.
• This position requires a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all required guard and gun permits or licenses on a current basis.
• Must demonstrate clarity and proficiency in oral and written communication skills.The oral skills must be demonstrable in person and with a radio.
• Positions may require performing the duties of a Driver/Messenger based on operational needs.
