Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking an Armed Premise Guard to monitor the facility, greet visitors, control access, and support security operations on the 2nd shift in the Cleveland area. You will patrol, check bags, and coordinate with management to maintain a safe environment.

Requirements include being 21+, at least one year in security, HS diploma or GED, ability to obtain guard licenses, and strong communication skills. GardaWorld offers benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in the Security industry.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required guard licenses.
• Clear and proficient in oral and written communication; radio experience a plus.
• May perform Driver/Messenger duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain surveillance by monitoring cameras and patrolling the facility.
• Greet and direct employees, customers, and vendors; log non-site visitors.
• Inspect belongings or packages entering and leaving the facility.
• Assist with administrative duties such as mail handling and phone coverage.
• Cross-train in other operational areas as needed.
• Collaborate with staff and support overall security operations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Armed Premise Guard

Mon - Fri: 2nd shift 3:30pm - close
$20.00 hr

The position of the Premise Guard is responsible for the surveillance of the building and the safety of all personnel, and will assist in administrative duties and support the operation as directed by Superior/Management.

Job Requirements

• Maintains surveillance by monitoring cameras and taking routine walks through the facility.
• Greets and directs employees, customers, and vendors. Ensures all non-site employees are logged prior to entering and exiting the facility.
• Conducts inspection of personal belongings or packages being carried into and out of the facility by all employees, customers, and vendors.
• Assists in administrative duties such as handling incoming and outgoing mail and answering the main telephone line.
• Cross‑trains in other operational areas as assigned by Superior/Management.
• Cooperates with other staff members and is an integral part of the team effort.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by Superior/Management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

• Position requires incumbent to be 21 years of age or older.
• Must have at least one year of experience in the Security industry.
• This position requires a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all required guard and gun permits or licenses on a current basis.
• Must demonstrate clarity and proficiency in oral and written communication skills; the oral skills must be demonstrable in person and with a radio.
• Positions may require performing the duties of a Driver/Messenger based on operational needs.
