Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Level III in Houston, TX. You will provide security, customer service, and rapid response across retail sites while maintaining a professional presence and ensuring compliance with laws and company policies.

The role requires a valid Texas Level III Armed Certification, 3+ years of related experience, and a valid driver's license. Schedule includes evening shifts and weekends with full-time benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, employees, and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with management and public responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations according to established procedures.
• Carry assigned firearm and other authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, training, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal policies.
