Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Guard Armed Patrol Driver in Miami, FL. This full-time role involves conducting armed patrols, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining compliance with site procedures while supporting government facilities.

Requirements include a law-enforcement or military training background, armed guard license, a college degree, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Possess a college degree.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Possess a corrections officer license.
Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
Possess a law enforcement officer license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at government facilities by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious persons, vehicles, packages, or conditions to appropriate personnel.
Maintain required reports, logs, and incident documentation while complying with applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal policies.
