Job summary

St. Moritz Security Services, Inc. in the Cleveland Regional Office is seeking an Armed OPOTA-Certified School Security Officer. This full-time role involves patrolling, enforcing policies, and providing access-control support at a Jefferson, OH site during school hours.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with school hours, 7:15 a.m.–3:00 p.m., and summers off. A valid Ohio OPOTA Armed Certification is required, along with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Background check and drug screening required.
• Valid Ohio OPOTA Armed Certification.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle.
• Monitor for and report suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents according to policies and use-of-force guidelines.
• Complete incident reports and daily activity reports (DARs).
• Enforce site and client policies.
• Provide customer service and access-control support.
• Follow site-specific emergency procedures.

Job Skills / Requirements

Armed Security Officer – Jefferson, OH

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM
• Pay: $19.36 per hour
• Time Off: Summers off
• Required Certification: Valid Ohio OPOTA Armed Certification

Main Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Personal firearm, Level II or higher retention holster, and duty belt

Preferred Qualifications

• 1–3 years of security, law enforcement, military, or customer service experience
• Military background a plus
• Criminal justice or public safety education a plus
