Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Armed Mobile Patrol) in Kansas City, MO. You will provide customer service, patrol assigned areas, monitor access, and respond to incidents while maintaining a visible security presence.

The role requires at least 1 year of armed security experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience or equivalent.
• Armed Guard Card or license preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screening as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and guests at a cultural institution by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of galleries, public areas, entrances, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with access control, visitor screening requirements, and reporting of suspicious activity or prohibited items.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents and patrol observations in accordance with Allied Universal procedures.
