Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Armed guard card or license preferred.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, residents, visitors, and authorized personnel following armed security procedures and policy at a government corrections location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization of persons, and maintain awareness of activity within assigned areas.
• Complete required reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and communicate observations and concerns to appropriate personnel.
