Job summary

SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital in Lake Saint Louis is seeking a Security Officer to join our team. This PRN position requires variable shifts and a willingness to become an armed officer. A psychological evaluation and MO driver license/MVR are required.

Responsibilities include rounds, incident reporting, and assisting with safety and security operations to protect staff and patients on campus. Education: high school diploma or equivalent, plus acceptable experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or 10 years of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Protects property and staff by conducting interior and exterior rounds and monitoring for safety and security issues.
• Promotes visitor and employee safety by performing door checks and assisting with disruptive individuals and escorts as needed.
• Responds to overhead pages or requests for assistance and escorts emergency personnel through the building.
• Provides professional customer service and proactively identifies safety hazards by communicating with clinical staff.
• Completes incident reports and shift logs and forwards to appropriate individuals.
