Trinity Health seeks a Licensed Senior Security Officer at St. Peter's Hospital on a Per Diem basis. The role ensures armed, uniformed security across SPHP campuses and requires strong knowledge of NY Penal Law and use of force continuum.

Candidates should have NYS Armed Security Guard license with firearms training, 5+ years of armed security or healthcare/security experience, and a willingness to rotate shifts as needed. Per diem schedule offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid NYS Driver's License required.
• Unexpired NYS Armed Security Guard License with firearms training.
• Minimum five years armed security experience.
• Five years healthcare/hospital security or five years law enforcement preferred.
• Knowledge of NY Penal Law and Criminal Procedure Law.
• Knowledge of use-of-force continuum and its application.
• Active police officer certification or ability to obtain NYS Armed Security Guard license within 6 months.

Responsabilités

• Provide armed, uniformed security presence across SPHP campuses.
• Assess threats and respond to incidents affecting safety of staff, patients, visitors, and others.
• Investigate offenses and prepare thorough reports for Lead Security Officer and SPHP leadership.
• Coordinate with law enforcement based on threat assessments.
• Pick up hours as needed at acute care facilities beyond primary location.
