St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Ft. Thomas, KY is seeking an Armed Security Officer to support the Ft.

Thomas Security Team. This full-time role (40 hours) focuses on creating a safe, secure environment for patients, visitors and staff, with a strong emphasis on professional service and customer relations. The position requires interaction with law enforcement and government agencies, execution of patrol duties, and adherence to de-escalation practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with applicable Criminal Justice experience OR Bachelor’s Degree
• Valid driver’s license and must be insurable by the Hospital insurance carrier
• Specialized firearms training or related course completion; ability to pass a psychological evaluation

Responsibilities

• Direct visitors, patients and employees and intervene to prevent disturbances.
• Provide way-finding and general assistance for patients and visitors; maintain courteous, professional communication; apply de-escalation techniques.
• Monitor security via CCTV and alarms; manage radio/telephone communications.
• Complete case reports, maintenance logs, and daily data entry; review pertinent information daily; document with photos when appropriate.
• Complete mandatory training including firearms; perform additional duties as assigned.
