Job summary

Allied Universal in Polkton, NC seeks a Security Officer Armed Field Patrol Driver to protect clients in a government and other settings. The role requires patrolling, access control, and incident response with a valid driver’s license.

The position is full-time with a pay rate of $21.50 per hour. Candidates must meet minimum requirements and pass background checks and drug screening as applicable. Excellent communication and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Armed Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel while enforcing site procedures and emergency response activities at a correctional facility.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials, and report irregularities or prohibited items.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and coordinating with facility personnel and responders.
• Maintain patrol activity, incidents, observations, and shift reports in line with procedures.
