Job summary

Allied Universal security officer position in Meridian, MS. You will protect people and property, patrol facilities, and respond to incidents while maintaining professional conduct and report writing. Must hold a HS diploma, 21+, and obtain required licenses; drivers license preferred.

Paid weekly with shifts across all schedules and sites. Role requires standing/walking for long periods, ability to operate CCTV and alarms, and strong communication skills to coordinate with clients and guests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; must be at least 21 years old.
• Licensing requirements depend on state; ability to obtain a guard license if needed.
• Background check and pre-employment drug/alcohol test required; may include driving record check.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality security services to protect people and property at the site.
• Maintain proficiency with protective equipment, restraints and weapons as permitted.
• Report safety concerns and security breaches verbally and in writing.
• Enforce site rules and directives for personnel, visitors and premises.
• Monitor CCTV and alarms; document safety issues and incidents.
• Follow site manuals, post orders, and licensing requirements as applicable.
• Build strong working relationships with client staff and guests.
• Answer questions, greet guests, and manage calls professionally.
• Patrol the facility on foot or by vehicle; cover multiple locations as needed.
• Adapt to special projects, shift changes, and open shifts as required.
