Job summary

Loomis Armored US, LLC is seeking an Armored Driver Guard to safely transport cash, coins and valuables with a team. The role includes driving armored vehicles on designated routes, servicing ATMs and handling deposits.

Starting pay is $26.00 per hour, rising to $29.90 per hour after four months; part-time schedule anticipated 20–30 hours per week with daytime shifts. Loomis provides comprehensive benefits and training, and supports required licenses and certifications.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid MVR (driving record) for at least 3 years; reimbursement of courthouse MVR fee upon onboarding.
• Ability to obtain Medical Examiners Certificate via USDOT approved examiners.
• Valid firearms permit and/or ability to pass state firearms security card/license requirements where applying.
• Loomis will pay for security and firearms qualifications, licensing and permitting.

Responsibilities

• Drive automatic armored vehicles on designated routes servicing customer locations.
• Service ATMs and Smart Safes.
• Deliver customer deposits and collect change orders.
• Load/unload vehicle cargo including bags and boxes of coins.
• Count items, record, and sign for cargo items.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Description

As an Armored Driver Guard, you work with your team to ensure the safe and secure pickup and delivery of cash, coin, and valuables.

Responsibilities

• Drive automatic armored vehicles and other vehicles on designated routes servicing customer locations
• Service ATMs and Smart Safes
• Service customer stops, including delivering customer change orders and picking up deposits.
• Load/unload vehicle cargo including multiple bags and boxes of coins
• Count items, record, and sign for cargo items
• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• At least a 3 year driving record ( At least a 3 year driving record (Please note: If selected for this role, you will be required to request your own MVR (motor vehicle record) in-person from the courthouse. If you successfully onboard with Loomis, the fee incurred will be fully reimbursed to you)
• Ability to obtain Medical Examiners Certificate via US Department of Transportation approved medical examiners
• A valid firearms permit and/or ability to pass all applicable firearms and state regulated security guard card/license requirements in the state to which you are applying is required. This may include varying requirements under applicable state law ( e.g. , some states require an individual to have a high school diploma or GED to be eligible for a state issued security guard card/license or equivalent)
• Loomis will pay for security and firearms qualifications, licensing and permitting.

Working Conditions

• Part-Time schedule potentially consisting of an average 20 to 30 hours/week, shift range from Monday-Saturday 6am-6pm
• Approximately 90-95 percent of work performed in air-conditioned vehicle within individual compartments (front and rear)

Essential Duties/Job Qualifications

As part of the qualification process for the Armed Driver Guard position, a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE) is required. This evaluation requires successful completion of testing in the following areas:

• Lift:
• - 25lbs vertical lift from 10 inches to 66 inches from the floor (1X)
• - 18lbs vertical lift from 1 inch to 44 inches from the floor, and horizontally transfer 15ft (4X)
• - 18lbs vertical lift from 10 inches to 36 inches from the floor and horizontally transfer 300ft (1X)
• - 50lbs vertical lift from 10 inches to 36 inches from the floor and horizontally transfer 2ft (2X)
• Push-Pull:
• - Horizontally transfer 47lbs of force on a sled (single, non-dominant arm), a distance of 1ft (2X)
• Repetitive Coupling:
• - Squeeze Jamar Hand Dynamometer requiring forces up to 30lbs / both right & left hands (4X)
• Climb:
• - Ascend / Descend a step with heights of 16. 21 & 24 inches from the floor (10X)
