Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation is seeking a Security Officer to patrol the campus, protect patients, visitors and staff, and respond to incidents with a professional service mindset.

Responsibilities include deterring crime, enforcing hospital policies and state/local laws, handling emergencies, completing reports, coordinating escorts, and managing parking control with a courteous presence on site.

Qualifications

• 1 year of security experience in healthcare is preferred.
• Basic computer literacy is required.
• Possess or be able to obtain First aid, CPR, de-escalation techniques, proper and safe restraints techniques, armed guard training and certification.

Responsibilities

• Patrols the campus to deter crime and address safety hazards.
• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and employees while following safety procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and emergency situations.
• Enforce hospital policies and applicable state/local laws to ensure safety and security.
• Submit reports promptly and professionally.
• Perform escorted transports for patients, staff, and visitors and secure valuables as needed.
• Control parking and ensure proper parking practices, including emergency areas.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and accomplish assigned goals.
