Qualifications

• Associate degree and 2 years of related experience or five years of related experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver1icense with no restrictions.
• Michigan Concealed Pistol License (CPL) within the first 90 days.
• Pass OC (pepper spray) class within the first 90 days.
• Pass the physical skills (survival tactics and arrest procedures) standards within the first 90 days.
• Complete three FEMA classes IS100leb, IS700a and IS704 within the first 90 days.
• Must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and a 24/7 schedule.

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned area on foot, in vehicle, or other specialized transport to ensure security.
• Inform and warn violators of rule infractions.
• Maintain security controls for university keys and equipment.
• Serve as Campus Security Authority per Clery Act.
• Maintain professional relations with staff, students, visitors, and community.
• Operate security systems and monitor video feeds.
