• $20.02 / Hour, weekly pay, benefits after 90 days

Allied Universal is hiring a Bank Protection Officer (BPO). The Bank Protection Officer will maintain a visible position in exterior locations of retail banking centers, providing deterrence of criminal activity and misconduct. The Bank Protection Officer may be expected to handle potential conflict and must be able to interact with bank customers and associates in a courteous manner.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property within client requirements
• Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs as required
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors courteously and professionally
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site Post Orders
• Suggest productivity and cost reduction measures to management
• Recommend physical security surveys and post orders

Qualifications (must Have)

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Licensing as per state/local laws, possibly prior to employment
• Valid driver’s license if operating a company or client vehicle
• At least 1 year of security, safety, or protective experience (law enforcement, military, TSA)
• Age 21 or older
• Ability to operate radio/telephone equipment and monitors
• Cordial interaction and communication skills with the public
• Effective oral and written communication
• Problem-solving and active listening skills
• Ability to assess situations quickly and accurately
• Data interpretation and research skills
• Conflict mediation with tact and diplomacy
• Clear and accurate writing skills
• Teamwork and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications (nice To Have)

• Certified Public Safety Academy graduate or relevant work experience in law enforcement, corrections, or firefighting
• Degree in law enforcement or criminal justice
• Military service
