Role Summary

A dynamic sales position that emphasizes proactive outreach and securing new business for our Foodservice Division. This role involves collaborating across various departments to acquire strategic new accounts in sectors such as Quick Service Restaurants (QSR), multi-unit dining establishments, Retailer Prepared Foods, and Business-To-Business (B2B) manufacturing. The perfect candidate is entrepreneurial, tenacious, and highly analytical—an independent worker who excels at initiating connections and finalizing agreements.

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities within the foodservice sector.
  • Meet yearly sales and profit objectives.
  • Manage relationships with distributors and strategize new business ventures.
  • Engage frequently with Distributor Sales Representatives and assess overall performance.
  • Work collaboratively with Foodservice sales team on top opportunities and new account opening.
  • Track and record business activities in CRM systems to maintain transparency across internal teams.
  • Plan and lead events and culinary demonstrations to generate leads; participate in trade shows as necessary.
  • Leverage insights from end users to create opportunities and close deals.
  • Sustain an active pipeline to achieve sales goals.
  • Recognize market demands and suggest new product offerings.
  • Negotiate contracts with clients.
  • Design and deliver both in-person and virtual training sessions for DSR’s and end-users.
  • Travel up to 60% of the time.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business Management, Marketing, or related field.
  • 7+ years of sales experience in the Foodservice and/or B2B Industry, preferably within consumer-packaged goods.
  • Familiarity with foodservice distribution (e.g., Dot Foods, US Foods, Sysco) and national operators.
Skills and Competencies
  • Strong sales skills in value-added selling and branded products
  • Ability to balance sales and profitability
  • Experience working with a CRM program
  • Excellent selling skills in one-on-one, as well, as group settings
  • Computer literate and working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and takes ownership of assigned projects
  • Works well independently and as part of a team
  • Embraces change and technology
  • Negotiating skills/deal structure development
