APAC Central Inc., a CRH company, is seeking an equipment operator to safely operate heavy machinery and support site operations. You will load materials, maintain equipment, and uphold safety standards on outdoor work sites.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and construction experience preferred. The company offers competitive pay, a $1,500 sign-on bonus, health/dental/vision coverage, PTO, and a 401(k) with company match.

• Lift materials weighing 50–100 pounds unassisted when required.
• Communicate clearly with co-workers using hand signals and eye contact.
• Follow Foreman guidance on daily tasks and project expectations.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and report major issues.
• Complete daily pre- and post-operation inspections and document findings.
• Assist in training less experienced team members on equipment operation, service and repair.
• Perform general labor duties to support site operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate rubber-tired or crawler tractors equipped with front-end scoop buckets safely and efficiently.
• Excavate and load materials from pit sites, stockpiles, and batch plants; load trucks as needed.
• Maintain a vigilant approach to workplace safety for yourself and your team.
• Lift materials weighing up to 50-100 pounds unassisted when required.
• Communicate clearly with co-workers, using hand signals and maintaining eye contact, especially when maneuvering equipment in shared workspaces.
• Adhere strictly to company policies and all OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe work practices.
• Follow direction from the Foreman regarding daily tasks and project expectations.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and minor servicing; escalate major issues to the Foreman.
• Complete daily pre- and post-operation equipment inspections, documenting findings according to company guidelines.
• Assist in training less experienced team members on equipment operation, service, and repair.
• Perform general labor duties as required to support site operations.

Physical&WorkEnvironmentRequirements

• Frequently required to climb, balance, and perform tasks involvingphysicalagility.
• Regularly sit, climb, and use hand signals or equipment; occasionally stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, or reach above shoulder height.
• Lift and move objects weighing up to 25-50 lbs. as needed.
• Workprimarily outdoors, often in extreme weather andenvironmental conditions.
• Comfortableworking in all weather conditions; exposed to jobsite hazards such as moving machinery, high places, airborne particles, and loudenvironments.
• Must have specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, to operate equipment safely.
• Reasonable accommodations provided as necessary to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience or training in construction or related field preferred.
