Job summary

Kingman Healthcare is seeking an ED Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Emergency Department team. The LPN will work under the supervision of the RN to deliver patient care, monitor vitals, document care, and ensure effective communication with physicians and staff.

Qualifications include completion of a practical nursing program, an Arizona LPN license (or compact), and BLS. 1 year of ED experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education and licensure requirements for LPN in Arizona.
• Nursing program completion and progression towards Nursing III & Nursing IV within 12 months.
• Current LPN license (Arizona or compact) and BLS.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients under the Arizona State Nurse Practice Act.
• Under the direction of the primary RN, complete care to assigned patients.
• Perform routine patient care tasks and monitor vitals, weights, intake/outtake, and glucose.
• Document patient care accurately per regulatory requirements.
• Communicate with RN, physician, and provider to coordinate care.

Education

High school graduate or equivalent

Graduate of a practical or vocational nursing program

Must successfully complete Nursing III & Nursing IV within 1 year of hire and provide proof of completion
