Job summary

Delta Center in Salt Lake City is seeking a Building Security Officer to safeguard events including hockey, Jazz games, and concerts. You will master security systems and enforce policies to ensure safe day-to-day operations of the arena.

The role requires lifting, patrolling, and responding to emergencies, with shift hours from 4pm to Midnight and compensation at $19 per hour. Exceptional guest service and professional appearance are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid Utah driver’s license.
• Must pass a drug test.
• Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Patrol areas at regular intervals to ensure properties are secure and safe.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Monitor and adjust controls that regulate building systems, such as air conditioning, furnace, or boiler.
• Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours or when switchboard is closed.
• Assist with VIP and/or event crew parking.
• Assist with crowd flow.
• Assist guests in emergency situations, which could include medical or evacuations.
• Assist guests with special needs.
• Monitor safety and security conditions in area.
• Enforce arena safety and security rules and policies.
• Complete required training successfully.
• Be respectful of our guest's and employee's property during screening and searches.
• Be proactive and friendly in connecting with guests and employees.
• Be responsible for ensuring all guests and employees are aware of Delta Center policies as they pertain to safety.
• Ability to drive a company vehicle to the our practice facilities.
• Protect the reputation of the company.
