Qualifications

• 1–2 years of food service experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen enviornment and stand for long periods.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow cleaning and sanitation procedures.
• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen is a plus, but not required.
• Understanding of basic sanitation and safety standards.
• Willingness to take direction and assist with kitchen cleaning tasks.
• Demonstrate physical stamina and agility to be mobile for long periods.
• Lift/move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen, work areas, equipment and utensils in orderly and sanitary condition.
• Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or uses dishwashing machine.
• Washes pots, pans and trays; ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Polishes silver using appropriate equipment; ensures sanitation.
• Keeps dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and prep surfaces.
• Removes trash and manages waste in designated containers.
• Transports supplies between storage and work areas; loads/unloads as needed.
