Job summary

The Concessions Cook at Oak View Group is responsible for preparing foods to be served to guests at venues, including concession stands, slicing meats, and preparing dishes to order. The role requires reliable attendance and availability for events as scheduled.

This part-time position at the Rio Rancho Events Center in Rio Rancho, NM pays $15.00–$17.00 per hour and is tip eligible. Benefits include 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• Previous cook or prep cook experience preferred.
• Valid food handling certificate for the State Of New Mexico.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Able to operate standard kitchen equipment (broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, slicer, chef knife).
• Team-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced event-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, fresh food for guests in a timely manner.
• Prepare hot and cold foods following company recipes and portioning requirements.
• Work as part of a team to ensure excellent service and delivery of products.
• Report any maintenance needs for kitchen equipment.
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
• Observe and test foods to ensure proper cooking.
• Portion, arrange, and garnish plates for delivery to guests.
• Consult with Executive Chef or Kitchen Supervisor to plan menus and estimate consumption.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality.
