Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking an Area Chief of Staff to lead and develop associate veterinarians across hospitals, ensuring delivery of quality care and achievement of hospital performance metrics.

The role focuses on driving a culture of engagement, clinical excellence, and preventive care, with collaboration with Practice Managers to lead teams and maintain standards. This is a hospital-based, working management position requiring veterinary leadership.

Competenze

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent foreign degree required.
• License in good standing or eligibility for licensure with all applicable state veterinary boards for assigned hospitals.
• 3 years of experience in small animal medicine and surgery practice.

• Act as Responsible Veterinarian for Veterinary and Pharmacy Board Permits, as required by federal, state, or local law.
• Own doctor engagement and retention by consistently assessing risk and creating a culture of engagement.

• Validate clinical skillset and alignment with quality standards through medical record reviews and audits.
• Spend time in clinical role as needed; this role is 100% hospital based and a working manager.
• Oversee coaching program for newly hired veterinarians to develop skills.
• Recruit veterinary talent and act as a brand ambassador in the local community.
