Mission
ENSURE delivery of compliant materials & equipment on time to both Bechtel projects and clients
VERIFY manufactured equipment in accordance with the Order specifications
ASSURE that industry quality standards are achieved
Objectives
ASSESS supply chain risk / supplier capability / capacity
VERIFY effective implementation of the supplier\'s QA/QC program and scheduled milestones
IDENTIFY non-conforming items and potential bottlenecks or challenges during fabrication
This position will entail visits to vendor shops and perform the activities defined by the quality surveillance assignment. Verifies that equipment or materials include defined attributes of recognized codes and standards and Bechtel procurement document requirements. Rejects material found non-conforming to procurement document requirements. Collaborates with the supplier and project supplier quality personnel to identify a course of action to achieve satisfactory disposition of disclosed non-conformances.
This position involves extensive weekly travel within the United States traveling to supplier sites. Travel schedules may vary based on client needs. Some engagements may require weekend travel or extended stays through the weekend, while others may be within driving distance of the employee’s home.
Area Supplier Quality Representative represents Bechtel as the supplier\'s primary contact and performs quality surveillance activities defined by the assignment scope to verify, through monitoring, observation, document review, and selective hands-on inspection, that supplier furnished material and equipment conforms to the technical and quality requirements of the procurement documents.
