Job Summary

The position of Area Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the activities and operations for the cleanliness and maintenance of buildings within a specific geographical area. The Area Supervisor will supervise the Foreman, Leads, Janitors, and Waxers. Responsibilities include scheduling jobs, obtaining equipment and supplies, hiring, terminating, and training employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of time sheets, inventory, and work schedules.
  • Communicate with workers and conduct meetings.
  • Visit work sites as needed.
  • Coordinate materials and contact workers for jobs.
  • Communicate with customers about work issues.
  • Order supplies and manage inventory logs.
  • Respond promptly to situations.
  • Schedule and oversee special request jobs and employee staffing.
  • Hire, train, and terminate employees.
  • Manage employee schedules for absences and vacations.
  • Ensure all buildings have necessary equipment, logbooks, uniforms, and supplies.
  • Handle safety reports and conduct safety trainings monthly.
  • Review and process employee time sheets and payroll information.
  • Authorize overtime and distribute paychecks.
  • Address disciplinary issues appropriately.
  • Conduct periodic building inspections.
  • Drive a company vehicle and carry a cell phone.
  • Assist with special projects as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.
