Crossroads Youth & Family Services, Inc. is seeking a Head Start/Early Head Start Area Supervisor for Lincoln/ Seminole County. Under the general supervision of the HS/EHS Director, the Area Supervisor provides leadership and direction for the daily operations and activities of a designated program area; responsible for effective programmatic operations, evaluation and improvement of respective program area, facilities, classrooms and teachers in compliance with Head Start Performance Standards as well as State and local licensing standards; performs community relations, conflict resolution and immediately notifies HS/EHS Director of such; completes special projects as required; and may serve as the HS/EHS Director in his/her absence.

Education/Experience

  • Associate’s degree required;
  • Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education with experience in teaching, program administration and evaluation preferred;
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in early childhood programs required.

License

  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License and maintain acceptable liability insurance

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of and ability to comply with Head Start Performance Standards;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal and analytical skills required;
  • Must be knowledgeable in computers and other basic office equipment;
  • Knowledge of community resources, methods and practices of health and safety precautions, providing age-appropriate education services and facilitating family involvement in program services.
