Job summary

All City Management Services (ACMS) is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead our School Crossing Guard program in Danbury, CT. This hands-on leadership role combines staff coaching, field supervision, and community engagement to ensure students travel safely to and from school every day.

The position is part-time and seasonal, following the local school calendar, with mileage reimbursement and a company phone/tablet provided. Eligible for a year-end bonus based on performance.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a supervisory or coordinating role.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable using smartphones, email, and basic tech.
• Reliable transportation with current auto insurance.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and perform field tasks.
• Successful completion of required background screening.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, and coach School Crossing Guards.
• Provide daily supervision and field support.
• Conduct site visits and performance observations/evaluations.
• Coordinate staffing and schedules for the program.
• Fill in as a School Crossing Guard when needed.
• Complete payroll and administrative reporting.

Location: Danbury, CT

Compensation & Schedule

• $21.50 per hour
• Approximately 4.50 hours per day
• School days only (follows the local school calendar)

What You'll Do

• Recruit, hire, train, and coach School Crossing Guards
• Provide daily support and field supervision

• Step in as a School Crossing Guard when operational needs require
• Complete payroll and administrative reporting
• Maintain uniforms, equipment, and program supplies
